Social Mixer at El Cholo Cafe, Pasadena, CA
Join Women in Homeland Security for the Southern California Chapter Summer Networking Mixer!
June 22, 2017 | 5:30 – 8:00 pm | Pasadena, CA
We are excited to announce that the Women in Homeland Security (WHS) Southern California Chapter is hosting a summer networking mixer in Pasadena!
Join us for a social hour, networking activity and speaker at the El Cholo Café located in Paseo Colorado, 300 E Colorado Blvd, Pasadena, CA 91101. Numerous colleagues — old and new — will gather to get to know each other better and enjoy a Southern California summer evening.
We will be joined by Los Angeles Community Engagement Fellow for the US Fund for UNICEF, Cambria Findley-Grubb, who will talk about human trafficking and how it ties in with situations of both man-made and natural disasters, where a rise in human trafficking can be seen due to populations’ increased vulnerability.
The mission of Women in Homeland Security is to build the homeland security community. WHS provides a professional organization for women working in the field of homeland security who are committed both to their jobs and to combating the threat of terrorism. The event is free, with delicious Mexican cuisine, appetizers and drinks available for purchase. If you’re not yet a member of the WHS West Chapter, please join here today! Both members and non-members will need to register for the event via the link below.
The restaurant will validate 90 minutes of free parking in both the structure on Colorado Blvd and the structure on Marengo Ave. After the first 90 minutes, parking is $1.50 per hour. Street parking is available in meters on Colorado Blvd as well. Carpooling is encouraged.
