18 Feb WHS Launches Leading Women Initiative
Women in Homeland Security, a non-profit organization working on behalf of women in the field of homeland security since 2009, today launched an initiative with Homeland Security Today to highlight the tremendous work of female leaders across America.
The series will feature interviews with some of the Homeland Security Today Homeland Heroes awardees including:

Doris Brown, the Executive Director of the Louisiana Department of Health in the Bureau of Community Preparedness. Under Brown’s leadership, LDH has sheltered nearly 500 COVID-19 positive residents in a medical monitoring station, an additional nearly 500 COVID-19 positive residents in isolation sites, and approximately 200 in medical special needs shelters due to hurricanes.
Jeanne Benincasa Thorpe, the Undersecretary of Homeland Security and Governor’s Homeland Security Advisor, Massachusetts Executive Office of Public Safety and Security.
