22 Mar WHS Greets the Rosies March 22!

“Women who stepped up were measured as citizens of the nation, not as women. This was a people’s war, and everyone was in it.”

Board members Emily Ohland, HWC and Sharla Rausch, PhD joined a number of WHS member to welcome the Rosies!  WHS was on hand at Reagan National March 22 to greet the arrival of a special flight carrying 30+ “Original Rosies” – women who worked in factories on the home front to support the war efforts. Thank you to our WHS members who were on hand to honor these remarkable women!
