10 Mar Ted Koppel Shares What Would Happen After “Lights Out”
Over 200 guests joined Women in Homeland Security, the Government Technology & Services Coalition, and InfraGardNCR for an evening with veteran reporter, Ted Koppel Friday night. Â Mr. Koppel discussed his new book, Lights Out, an exploration of the nation’s preparedness for a major attack on the cyber grid.
Mr. Koppel argues that the impact of such an attack is devastating and claims that the U.S. Department of Homeland Security does not have a tangible plan. Â He argues for a solid plan and the diversion of some resources to plan for what will be needed if the grid is taken down for a significant period of time.
Numerous WHS members and Board members joined us for a lively discussion and a once in a lifetime experience to meet the gracious Mr. Koppel.
