Get ready for the 2017 WHS BBQ Cook – Off!
Each year, the WHS Board selects a charity related to the homeland security and raises money for it through our BBQ Cool-Off & STEM Expo! The BBQ Cook-Off invites teams from our government partners to cook-off against their compatriots in other components and agencies and meet, cook, and talk with one another and build relationships with the many missions in the homeland security community. Since its inception, the BBQ has brought hundreds of people in the homeland security community together for a day of friendly competition, family fun, and thanks for everyone who makes a difference in homeland security. To date, WHS has raised nearly $200,000 for these charities.
For 2017, WHS will raise funds for the Border Patrol Foundation and for WHS’s ongoing STEM initiative that brings students across the country to field trips in homeland security STEM.
