May 12 Women in Homeland Security presented $20,000 to the National Lae Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund during National Police Week 2016.  Board members Eileen Parise, Kara Sidener, and Dr. Sharla Rausch, joined WHS President Kristina Tanasichuk and Charity Auction Chair Stephanie Geiger at the end of the Police Unity tour to present our donation from last year’s fundraising.

WHS selects a different charity each year and fundraises for that charity through our Charity BBQ and Auction.  This year, WHS selected the FBI Agents Association.  The first fundraiser, the WHS BBQ Cook-Off is slated for September 10 once again at USCG’s TISCOM base and will add a Homeland Security STEM Expo to complement the WHS STEM initiative (more info at www.WHSSTEM.com).
